Hampton Court - Feng Shui Garden |
|
Presenting
the 'Feng Shui garden' which won the RHS Silver Gilt Medal in 1999
at the Hampton
Court Palace Flower Show |
|
The
garden design was overlaid with and influenced by the Feng Shui Bagua
and was entered via a unique hand-made green oak Moon Gate created
by James Showers. |
|
In the
northern area of the garden a circular pool containing a
specially commisioned, bronze diving woman called 'Free Spirit'
made by sculptress Janis Ridley. |
|
The
central 'Tai Chi void' area was represented by a naturalistic spring
flowing through and over harlequin quartzite boulders surrounded by
a display of ornamental grasses and flowering summer bulbs. |
|
This garden was a star of the show that year and caught the attention of both the media and the public! Click HERE to see Pamela's original illustration of the garden layout |
